Well, the stats for 2008 are in and they are pretty good. Just under 27,000 unique visitors for the year. Traffic keeps going up and I thank you all for your patronage!

Background Actor Seeking Costume

I received this email from a former Star Trek background actor. Maybe one of you can help! "Hi Alec! I just discovered your blog, and started at the beginning and read it all. Fascinating, to say the least. I am an "old-timer" with STAR TREK, and in fact got to see them shoot some of TOS back in 1967. I was also one of the lucky people who got to work in ST: TMP. and thus, I have to ask you if you might be able to help me locate the uniform I wore in the film. I know there have been a boatload of auctions but have seen my uniform listed. It was a white jumpsuit, science department, women's size 8. Attached is a photo of me in it. I tried to buy it right after the film wrapped, and even with Leonard trying to help me, Western Costume had them all in storage. The TOS Shatner Kirk Tunic at Profiles in History.

While some people know this, it is not public knowledge, but last year, I acquired a William Shatner Captain Kirk Tunic. Yes, a holy grail to almost all of us Star Trek prop & costume collectors. It was an amazing find and literally walked in the door of Propworx. (OK, it had help walking in the door). I traded that tunic to another collector, who is now selling it in Profiles in History. Why? Well, it really is an expensive item as we will see when it sells later this month. And it is too expensive for a collector like me. I am not rich and having such an expensive piece of history is just not practical. You can't display it unless you build a very expensive display, and you have to insure it. Also, while I love my collection, a Kirk Tunic, while a Holy Grail, isn't going to make me happy. One week with Damaris' (my best friend) two little 6 year old boys brings more more happiness than any item in my colle...

The Doctor Uniform from "Voyager"

The following Doctor's Costume is lot # 43 in the Trekcetera Museum Prop & Costume Auction, and was originally from the It's A Wrap auctions. A Starfleet uniform jumpsuit worn by Robert Picardo during his portrayal of "The Emergency Medical Holographic Doctor" in various episodes of Star Trek: Voyager. Is black with blue sciences division shoulders that zips up the front and clasps at the top half way up the chest, and features a Velcro patch on the left breast for a Starfleet comm badge' (replica comm badge included) and a matching velcro patch on the left shoulder for the Mobile Emitter (replica included). The waist features form fitting black elastic with sewn in loops for away team gear, the feet end in black elastic stirrups. The uniform comes complete with a gray long sleeved turtleneck undershirt that zips up the spine and clasps at the top with a strap to keep it taut. The interior Voyager tags are inscribed "Robert Picardo". ...
