Final word on the Doohan Shirt

I had a discussion with Anthony Pascale, who runs the web site the other day and the topic of the Scotty Shirt came up. He shed some new light, confirming the origin and explaining that both of James Doohan's sons, (Chris and Montgomery) were in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. He had the photo below in an article he wrote which you can read here:

So the shirt was screen-used, just not by James Doohan. :-)

I wonder if there's any buyer's remorse going on out there?

Well, I think whoever spent over $ 3K on that shirt certainly wished they had done their research first!

I talked to Chris Doohan about this and he was aware of the auction and says he even put in a bid for the shirt. He also said he sent the winner an email, as well as emailed Its A Wrap (albeit after it ended), he hasn't heard from either.

I wonder if (now that the winner knows the truth) if the winner will still pay for the shirt. I am not sure of the rules, but it appears to me that Its A Wrap mislabled the sale and therefore the winner may be able to get out of it if he wants
